It would be extremely beneficial to have plastic cutlery in the pantries. It is easy to forget cutlery and having to go down to the first floor to get it is such a waste of time (especially because of the wait for the elevators).

The response provided to the kettle situation in UKWN (Friday, 23 May 2008) seems simple and straightforward. However, it omits one of the reasons for which people asked for kettles in the first place. Hot water drawn from automatic tea/coffee machine tastes of coffee, and is not particularl hot. Thank you for looking further into the matter

it is illegal to get served alcohol if you are under the age of 18 but you can drink privatley in your house from the age of 5 yeasrs old! thats ridiculous and you are not allowed to be served ciggerettes under the age od 16 yet if you are seen smoking all they do is check if u have a pack of ciggerettes and then they walk away they allow you to smoke but your not allowed to purchase.

People’s belief in their own impotence – Archimedes said “Give me a place to stand & I will move the Earth” – its not just physics – its political, cultural, emotional – we all have levers & places to stand – we can all move the Earth.

i think there should not be a smoking ban. we go to a pub and pay extra for drink to sit in comfort. how can you sit and be comfortable if you have to go outside for a smoke. you dont go to a pub to be healthy. also smoking in the work place i think that it should be the employers choice whether or not there should be a smoking ban in the work place!!!!

Im a student in a secondary school in year 11 and i think that the new healthy meals are good, but i think the price of the meals is too high. water is a must for me everyday but a bottle costs me 80p in my canteen... whereas i can find it for half or a quater of that somewhere else. things like a slad pot can cost up to £1.70...i wouldnt mind paying that if there was a fair size of salad pot rather that a tiny thing with 10 bits of pasta a spoonful of chicken, 3 bits of lettuce and 2 bits of cucumber. A panini which is a bit of bread filled with ham and cheese costs £1.75 which i think is ridiculous really. i would like the prices to go down a bit on some things.

Bank charges should be scrapped immediately. For too long people have been robbed by their banks of their own money. It it supposedly unsafe to carry cash in case it gets stolen but it seems it is equally as risky to leave it in a bank. All charges should be repaid to the customers with interest.

Well, I think the biggest enemey we ever had, the mother of all enemies that ever existed the daddy of stopping anything happening is: indifference. We all know the problems, hell we know most of the solutions but I dare anyone to find us a solution for apathy.

I would like to see a massive simplifcation of the tax and benefits system - ensuring that those who are entitled to benefits are able to easily claim them, while those who are not are prevented from abusing the complexity of the system. Furthermore, the tax system should be accessible and understandable by all - certainly in terms of the personal tax system.

I would like to ban Politically correctness as it is probably more costly to the Country than Smoking and Drinking put together if not more. It has ruined this Country(UK). It has taken away peoples ability to make a decision based on instinct.People now make decisions based on what other people may think of them, 90% of UK people have lost there initiative.

THE amount that banks charge people for being over their credit limit also their standing orders and direct debit payments I donate monies to charities but they had asked for the amount before my wages were paid in, my bank charged me £35 for sending me a letter saying they couldnt pay the charity £5, but took their £35 charges when my wages went in 2 days later how fair is this? I mean what we paying for? the chopping of the trees down to make the paper and the envelope? or the managers raises? and perks
